"This is totally your fault."
"Wha-! You have GOT to be kidding me!"
~/~/~
Hades and Persephone, who is disguised as Iris so as to run away from home...for some reason or other. XD Haven't figured that out yet. I've figured out the how, just not the why. Other than, "my mother is crazy." XD
Anyway, Persephone is posing as Iris and has taken place as Hades' "PR Director," in order to get him back in the good graces of the rest of the pantheon...while improving life in the underworld while she's at it. Being trapped at home for most of your life kind of makes you a bit OCD. O__O!
In mythology Iris is the rainbow goddess and is one of two messenger gods. She is the bridge between the Earth and the heavens and has access to the Underworld so that she might collect water from the River Styx (therein giving Persy a "Get Out Of Jail Free" pass).
Also, she can fly with the same swiftness as the wind, and is actually married to one of the winds (east? west? forgot). So in this I would have Iris dating the guy, and wanting to sneak away for a while...while Persephone does this, "one little job for her."
*laughs evilly, then coughs* Erm, sorry.
The design of Persephone's "Iris" outfit is that of a rainbow, and influenced by the last part of the pastoral scene in Fantasia, when Iris flies across the sky with a rainbow to indicate an end to the rain. The wings are from traditional mythology, which says Iris has golden wings, and the staff is also traditional and supposed to be similar to the one Hermes has.
Except that I totally turned the outfit into a magical girl uniform. With the staff influenced by Card Captor Sakura, and the wings by Sailor Moon. *whistles innocently*
Anyway, Hades belongs to Homer/the Greeks/Pluto to the Romans. This version is Disney's. And Persephone counts for the same. Except that, you know, she's my design basically. *chuckles*

I like this story idea, or least what you have figured out and posted here.
Still is one of my favorite Greek myths, and I could see Persephone & Iris being friends, cause I think she's one of the 'younger' godesses. (might be wrong)
More of this would be cool from you if you still have the inclination
